Cambridge Waterfront Trifecta!

I'd like to tell you all about Saturday's waterfowl windfall... but for now, please enjoy a large number of photographs from the morning's visit to the Cambridge, MD waterfront. Seen today: a TUFTED DUCK, a EURASIAN WIGEON & a female BARROW'S GOLDENEYE! I also took a few photos of the famous local raft of CANVASBACKS with one drake REDHEAD in it, along with a drake MALLARD that appeared to be lecturing the EURASIAN WIGEON. Oh yes, and I almost forgot... there were several AMERICAN WIGEON floating around the Choptank River this morning as well.More descriptive words are coming soon. There are stories to tell, but for now... on to the photos! After a very memorable day, it's nice to enjoy a relaxing stretch and head off to bed.

Best,

Dan

Wow! Nice collection of waterfowl photographs, excellent photographs!

I have read where many species of waterfowl winter around the Chesapeake. These are many of the same species that pass through my area in southen Pa during the spring and fall migrations.

Hey - it was great spending the morning with you and Mike at the Dairy Farm. Lots of fun! Birdcouple went 2 for 3 - easily got the Tufted Duck and, at the last moment, we pulled the Eurasian Wigeon out of nowhere. The BAGO hadn't been seen since morning.

Another great day!

Hugs to E and D.
