Bill Hubick is leading a trip to Blackwater and Elliott Island trip this Saturday. I've been invited to attend. It could be a fantastic day filled with lots of lifers and maybe even some tips on how to not take bad photographs. (Bill is a great photographer.)
TARGET BIRDS:
Possible species include loads of waterfowl, Cackling Goose, Ross's Goose, Greater White-fronted Goose, Black-crowned Night-Heron, American Bittern, Clapper and Virginia Rails, Rough-legged Hawk, Bald Eagles (guaranteed!), Golden Eagle, Short-eared Owl, Greater and/or Lesser Yellowlegs, Wilson's Snipe, Red-headed Woodpecker, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Marsh Wren, Sedge Wren, Canvasbacks, Surf Scoters, Harlequin Duck, Scaup, Redhead and more. Bill said that they won't find all of those, but they will find some.
But time in the field means spending less quality time with this man (and his beautiful mother!)...
Decisions, decisions. Declan is totally and utterly adorable. I think its a win win.
